Happy Birthday, John Henry Rew!!!

If you sit and think about what John Henry might have been doing today I bet there are a number of us that have variations on a similar scenario. I envision him waking up late today after another fabulous party on the 8th Avenue rooftop. Meeting friends for brunch, and then getting a manicure. Finishing up the day at home with friends having dinner and drinks and, of course, some champagne. As I said I'm sure there are a number of variations on this similar theme but all share the common thread of celebrating a life well lived with love laughter and, best of all, friends and family.

I'm sure we all miss the concentrated energy that always surrounded our favorite red-head, however, on a beautiful March day it is hard to not feel it all around us when thinking of how he would be spending it. On what has come to be called "Random Acts of Orange" day, remember to be kind to those around you as well as to yourself. You most likely would have been having a great day celebrating with him so why not just celebrate for him?

I think of you almost everyday...you fill my world with joy. I miss hanging out with you "in person" and chatting on the phone with you. Life certainly is not the same without you, but I try to bring you into remembrance every moment I can. I think one day, we will all be reunited for the biggest and best parties ever!

Seize upon that moment long ago
One breath away and
there you will be
So young and carefree
Again you will see
That place in time...so gold

Steal away into that
way back when
You thought that all
would last forever
But like the weather
Nothing can
ever...and be in
time

Stay gold

But can it be
When we can see
So vividly
A memory
And yes you say
So must the day
Too, fade away
And leave a ray of sun
So gold

Life is but a
twinkling of an eye
Yet filled with sorrow
and compassion
though not imagined
All things that happen
Will age too old
Though gold
Miss you every day my pony boy.
